Annual Dinner & Awards

Held in October, this event offers the opportunity for the Chamber to report back to its members in the form of an Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet.   Serving as the official annual meeting of the membership, this event is also a major networking opportunity offering the opportunity to meet new contacts, catch up with old ones and see what the Chamber has been up to for the past year.  It is also the first look into the new initiatives and programs the Chamber will be working on in the coming year.  Awards presented include Citizen of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Education Contributor of the Year,  Business of the Year, Public Safety and Entrepreneur of the year.   These awards recognize businesses individuals and non-profits who have exhibited leadership, innovation, character and excellence in the community.

Bowling Events

Great gathering and networking opportunity held twice a year  at Royal Family Bowling Center.

 

Brown Bag Luncheons

Held the third Wednesday of every month, this complimentary educational lunch series offers a wide variety of topics presented by Chamber member experts.  Bring you lunch and enjoy these informative luncheons at no-charge to members. ($15 for future members)  Luncheons begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and a networking session, speaker begins at noon and questions & answers at 12:45 until 1 p.m.

 

Business After Hours

Spend a couple of hours catching up with friends, making new business contacts, and enjoying good food and drink at Business After Hours – one of the Chamber’s most popular and successful, on-going networking events!  This monthly networking event hosted by a Chamber member business, offer attendees a relaxed but purposeful networking atmosphere, capped off with some great drawings and giveaways.  Business After Hours are held monthly at various member locations.

 

Candidates Forum 

The Chamber hosts Candidate Forums for local and some state elections.  These forums typically held in mid-October offer an opportunity for the voting public to hear from each candidate in order to make an informed decision on Election Day.  The forums are also recorded for play back on the local government access channel.

Chairman's Golf Event 

This two-man just for fun golf event begins with a great afternoon of fun on the golf course and ends with delicious food and entertainment by the firepit at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.

Christmas Parade & Activities

Chamber sponsored community event held the 1st Saturday of December featuring over 100 parade entries including civic organizations, local businesses, church groups and more.  Look for new and exciting additions to the Christmas Parade in 201 – well be adding festivities to extend this to an all day event in our beautiful downtown.

Coffee Break Check In 

Starting in March of 2020, Coffee Break Check In has become a staple member program.  Members meet up on the Zoom screen on Friday morning at 10 a.m. to discuss the latest happenings in their business and in the community.

 

Ethics Workshop

The Chamber in partnership with Warren County Public Schools coordinates the Ethics Workshop each year for high school seniors at Randolph-Macon Academy, Skyline and Warren County High Schools.  This event offers volunteers from the community the opportunity to work with a group of 8-10 seniors.  The students are presented with a series of ethical dilemmas and must discuss these dilemmas at their tables and come to consensus as a group.  This is event is sponsored by the Front Royal Rotary Club.

Leadership Front Royal-Warren County

A program designed to give participants an in-depth overview of Front Royal-Warren County, encourage volunteerism and participation in molding the future of our community.  Participants in the 8-month program study a different aspect of the community for one full day a month.  Topics include:  Local Government, Education, Public Safety, News Media, Local Economy, Health & Human Services, Art/Culture/History/Tourism, and Community Organizations.  Click here for Leadership Schedule and Application.

 

Legislative Preview

State legislators are invited to a luncheon prior to the start of the legislative session in January to outline their plans for the session, address comments and concerns from the business community and answer questions.

Legislative Wrap-Up

State legislators are invited to a luncheon in April after the legislative session has ended to give a report to our members on the session and our members have the opportunity to ask questions or share comments and concerns.

Millionaire Maker Golf Event

This Spring event held at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club offers 4 lucky individuals the chance to swing for a million dollar prize. 

 

New Teacher Reception

The Chamber’s Education Committee and sponsors welcome new teachers to the community each year.

 

State of the Community Events

These events feature a different community topic each quarter and  provide the opportunity for members and community members to gain a better understanding of the issues affecting our community.

River & Brews Festival

Established in 2008 the Brew & Blues Festival is held on the last Saturday in September in the Village Commons Area (Gazebo) of historic downtown Front Royal.  This event includes beer tastings of nearly 50 varieties,  outstanding live entertainment, fine crafters and artisans and delicious foods.  Festival goers also have the opportunity to stroll the beautiful downtown area and peruse lovely shops, get a great cup of coffee or tea, sample some delicious chocolates, or experience a wonderful dining experience at one of the many great downtown restaurants.

Virginia Wine & Craft Festival

Held every third Saturday in May on Main & Chester Streets, the Virginia Wine & Craft festival began in 1986 as the Mushroom Festival and has seen many changes over the years.  Now boasting 30 participating wineries from all over Virginia, over 150 fine artisans and crafters, a plethora of delicious foods to choose from and fantastic live entertainment on 2 stages this event has grown to attract ten thousand attendees each year.
